Mid-Coast Maine Reparations Collective is a volunteer-run group of individuals living on unceded Micmac, Maliseet, Passamaquoddy, Abenaki, and Penobscot territory, known together as the Wabanaki. Our work focuses on providing pathways and support for land return and transfer, the re-distribution of money, and the centering of Indigenous, Black and People of Color led organizations in what is now called Maine. Alongside these pathways, we also provide antiracist and anticolonial education support for both individuals and groups looking to engage in reparations work. We invite you to join us in actively unlearning these systems and creating your own reparations commitment.

Curious about reparations and how you can participate?

Please see Our Reparations Framework for more specific information on our model and the pathways for engaging in reparations and get in touch with us.
